Privacy

MowSignal has no accounts, no cookies, no browser storage and no third-party analytics or advertising scripts. It still processes a small amount of personal data, described below.

Who is responsible

What we process and why

Server logs. Like any website, each request to this site reaches our hosting provider, IONOS, together with your IP address and standard browser information. IONOS's access logs record the requested page, the referring page, browser and operating system, device type, time of access and your IP address in shortened (anonymized) form. They are used to keep the site secure and working and are kept for 8 weeks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Usage counts. When you use the selector, view a model or example yard, or follow a merchant link, your browser requests a tiny image from this site (/e/s.gif). The request carries an event name, a model or example identifier, result counts and broad ranges for yard details and budget. It never includes the text you type, an exact yard size or any identifier for you or your device, and nothing is stored on your device. We only use these requests to produce aggregate counts that tell us whether the site is useful; the counts are kept for at most 25 months. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding, in aggregate, how the site is used (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Email. If you write to us, we use your address and message only to reply. We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it and delete it within 12 months of the last exchange, unless we must keep it longer to meet a legal obligation. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Who receives it

IONOS hosts the site and processes the data above on our behalf as a data processor, within the EU. We do not sell data or share it with analytics or advertising companies.

Merchant links take you to other websites, which have their own privacy practices. Some are affiliate links run by Awin (currently for ANTHBOT): following one sends your browser to Awin (awin1.com), which redirects you to the merchant. Awin and the merchant may set or read cookies on their own websites to attribute a later purchase to MowSignal; see Awin's privacy policy. The link identifies MowSignal and the model you chose, never you. MowSignal itself sets no cookies.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and, where applicable, to receive it in a portable format. Write to hello@mowsignal.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
